digital advocacy
As a digital advocate for HC, I'm a member of Club HeadCount, a new influencer program run by the organization. I capture, edit and post content in accordance with monthly themes to promote the importance of voting and staying engaged with democracy. From "get un-ready with me after a Halsey show while we talk about local elections" to "rating the concerts I've volunteered at," I love the opportunity to speak about the impact this non-profit has had on me and so many others.
live event volunteering
Becoming a HeadCount volunteer means that you always have this phrase on the tip of your tongue: "Hi! Are you registered to vote at your current address?" From Madison Square Garden to Bowery Ballroom to the Gov Ball festival grounds, I've helped concert-goers check and/or update their voter registration status and become more educated on upcoming elections. I've also gotten to give out a bunch of glow-in-the-dark pins along the way.

artist relations internship
My HeadCount journey started in early 2024 when I began an artist relations internship with the team. Throughout the semester, I assisted the department by creating newsletters, researching and recruiting artists for the ambassador and touring partner programs, and keeping my finger on the pulse of any and all upcoming tours that HC could activate at. My experience culminated in a mock pitch presentation, selling my managers on an artist partner I thought would be a perfect fit for the organization. I was able to use my skills in real life by working with my manager and fellow interns to capture and post artist content onsite at Gov Ball 2024, working with artists and influencers like Hippo Campus, Telescreens, Little Stranger, and more!

pass the phone for nvrd 2024
2024 was a huge year for HeadCount, including tons of artist partnerships and a presidential election! For National Voter Registration Day, I served as project coordinator between the organization and Universal Music Group's °1824 to create a "pass the phone" style video featuring °1824 reps who regularly engaged with HeadCount and believed in the mission and message. The video amassed over 7k views across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts!

The first collaboration I facilitated between °1824 and HeadCount was a "come along with me" style video, vlogging the experience of volunteering with HeadCount at a show. I took followers along for the ride to Chappell Roan's headlining show at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT. This piece of content was collab-posted on Instagram between HC and °1824 and racked up over 11.6k views!

invitationals
°1824's annual invitational conference serves as a way for part-time and full-time staff to network, bond, and learn about what the past year and upcoming year will hold for UMG labels and partners. At the 2024 event in Los Angeles, HeadCount stopped by to help reps check their voter registration status, make a plan for Election Day, and pick up some new pins and tote bags! I captured the footage for this content piece and coordinated it being collaboratively posted between the °1824 and Universal Music Group Instagram pages. It has over 13k views, and it even includes my favorite song of all time: "Future Starts Now" by Kim Petras <3

During my final month of college (and my final month with the °1824 team), I attended Remi Wolf's spring 2025 show in New Haven, CT on behalf of both HC and UMG. I reprised my role as queen of "come along with me" vlogs and talked about why I love volunteering with HeadCount so much. The collab-posted video reached °1824, HeadCount and UMG audiences and amassed over 12.6k views on Instagram!
